Agent memory needs a failure trail. We just made mem9's recall path easier to reconstruct: the failing branch, canceled sibling searches, the source—database, inference, or request context—and whether retrying is reasonable.

Over the past month, mem9 has been building toward predictable hosted memory usage: paid plans, quota-aware runtime behavior, and post-quota rate limits. Supported agent integrations now surface quota status, retry timing, and clear next steps when limits are reached.

Made a small infrastructure optimization for mem9 Console recently. API latency is down noticeably. Tiny change on paper, much better feel in the product.

mem9 is working on that event surface: webhook events for memory changes, signed delivery, retry tracking, delivery history, and routing policies for Space Chains. This makes memory state easier to observe and integrate.

Agent memory needs more than recall. A production memory layer also needs to expose what changed, where it was routed, and whether downstream systems received the update.
