A hack that helped me unblock procrastinated tiny tasks: I refactored my todo lists to reflect the real work at hand instead of: “Reply to rental car guy” (a 5min writing task) it now says: “process resistance around emailing the rental car guy” (a 30min introspective task)

I was very anti big weddings until I was forced into having a 400-person reception in Nepal. Half my dad’s elementary school friends, whom he hadn’t seen in 40 years, showed up! I realized ohhh done correctly, it’s a community rekindling thing not a narcissism thing!

i feel so stupid for saying this, but my little sports car i bought makes me so happy every day. it brings me so much joy. are you allowed to say that? aren't expensive cars not supposed to bring you happiness for very long? but it's been 9 months. and still every day i drive it

Was sitting in my room, when my attention was pulled to a thermos by the window. “That’s odd…” I thought Followed by, “wait what’s odd? Everything seems normal” A few seconds after I looked away, it exploded (probably from heat + pressure) I’m unsure which sense picked it up

Before I met Spouse, I wrote a list of all the traits I wanted in a dream partner. It was 3-pages long and highly specific! Then I took note of what I needed to work on in myself to attract such a magnificent person, and focused on that instead. It worked. Got the whole list!
