Corruption and dirty money undermine UK national security. I visited @NCA_UK with @DavidLammy and @DanJarvisMBE today as the government's new Anti-Corruption Champion. I look forward to working to tackle corruption and ensure the UK's security and economic prosperity.

Targeting a synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jewish communities is truly horrific. My thoughts are with the victims, families, and the wider community - their lives will never be the same. I’m grateful to the emergency services for their swift response.

Great win for taxpayer with Baroness Mone fined £122m for failure to provide PPE during COVID. She got the contract through being a friend of ministers. Contracts to pals cost taxpayers billions in fraud and poor value. Shocking practice by the Tories. That’s why they’re dying.

It has been an informative week in the BVI. Both sides now understand each other’s priorities better. There’s work ahead, but I leave encouraged by the willingness to progress beneficial ownership reform. I will discuss next steps with @SDoughtyMP.

Open discussions with the Financial Services Commission and Financial Investigation Agency today, and a visit to see first-hand some of the local infrastructure challenges. Transparency and good governance go hand-in-hand. Delighted also to meet emerging female leaders.

Productive meetings with Premier Wheatley, Minister Smith, and leaders of BVI’s financial sector. I was encouraged by the open dialogue on ownership transparency and the shared commitment to explore whether we can reach a common position by November's Joint Ministerial Council.

I’m at an age where, sadly, I’ve seen too much death. And I’ve seen cases where palliative care, no matter how good, cannot ease the pain & suffering of someone dying. @kimleadbeater’s strict bill gives people the choice to have a good death. We all deserve this choice.

royals must come clean on what they own and whether their money is used ethically to satisfy the court of public opinion. If they keep wealth secret pay corporation and capital gains tax like the rest of us. If it belongs to the crown transparency is vital to show integrity.
