Last night at 1am my 16 year old called me from camp to give me a 40 minute play by play on how the Holy Spirit moved.
Parenting is hard. But 1am phone calls from your 16 year old because she wants YOU to know how God is moving in her life makes the hard worth it.
“Let’s hug for 60 seconds” my 16 year old son said to me yesterday morning…
“What? Is this a school assignment or something?” I joked back…
“Nope. I just want to hug you…” he responded.
And so we just hugged…
Swayed a little…
Felt each other breathing…

Now for the hard part of ending racism.
I have this neighbor across the street.
A white man in his 70’s.
In 4 years of living here, he’s never spoken to me...
Today that changed.

My wife and I are 18 years into marriage and are barely comfortable enough to give marriage advice. Just saw an online marriage course by a couple who have been married 4 years or you can take their parenting course. They have toddlers. Be careful with “experts” out there fam!!!
