I liked Jinx's lines to Caitlyn in the cell, when she says "I didn't know your mom was there. It would probably wouldn't have made a difference but... I didn't know" because the thing is she's not apologizing in here
everytime someone paints ekko as some kind of pacifist when it comes to enforcers i remember he canonically went around zaun riding his wheel with powder flipping off enforcers AS A KID
the person who said that there was clearly a misunderstanding between the animators and the writers in arcane was soo right because how are you going to reference the french revolution (multiple times mind you) for the story to frame revolution as a bad thing
It's also even more evident when Vi's first instinct after reuniting with Jinx in the MU was to reassure her that she was real; implying that she's already experienced hallucinations even as a kid
she's just lifting Caitlyn's perception of the situation, where she felt /personally/ attacked since her mom fell victim of Jinx's explosion, which turned into a selfish desire for revenge and a growing hatred towards Jinx and herself
When Jinx clarifies that it would've "probably" made no difference is because she doesn't see Cassandra as an individual, nor the other councilors on that matter, they aren't parents or people with their own conflicts and struggles
Cassandra alongside all the other councilors, including Caitlyn as a commander, they all hold a status and an image, they /represent/ the most influential families in Piltover that thrive from Zaun's own pain and work, and they carry a power that keeps the cities separated
