    Taipei held an extra pride rally today, both to celebrate over a year of marriage equality, and to highlight how it's one of the only countries in the world that can publicly celebrate pride without fear of COVID-19. Reason #371947 I'm very grateful to be here.

    Abe was seen as a close friend to Taiwan. Every politician from the KMT to DPP is putting out statements of support. My Taiwanese friends in my timelines are all in shock. Taiwan media doing non-stop coverage. After Japan, Taiwan might be feeling this news the hardest.

    Attacking a Presbyterian church is not random. The church has deep connections to the Taiwanese independence movement and the DPP. This was a clear targeting of pro-Taiwan individuals in the United States. Labeling this as a hate crime is the correct decision.

    OC Sheriff say it's believed the suspect David Chou "was upset about political tensions between China and Taiwan" when he attacked the Taiwanese American Presbyterian congregation in Laguna Woods on Sunday, killing 1 and wounding 5.
