- There should be a university cs program where all freshmen are given a cheap laptop with no OS on it, have to install Linux on it themselves, then do all of their programming work on that with no web browser for the first two semesters
- Say you just moved to a new place and know nobody What’s your gameplan for meeting people and making friends
- Do I want to grind & work at spacex/apple/stripe/meta & be a cracked engineer Or do I want a chill remote sysadmin job that pays the bills & lets me hobbymaxx+friendmaxx+familymaxx?? Been aiming for the former but lately revealed preferences are sorta pointing to the latter
- Say you graduated last year with your CS bachelor’s. No internships during school. Been doing lots of job applications, got some interviews but no offers. Grinding leetcode + side projects all the while. Do u keep pushing on? Start looking at non-swe roles? What’s ur next move?
