SICKENS me that landlords can put rent up by 20% and that's just "the market" but a wage increase of 10% is considered a greedy demand. The landlord class and the employing class are the same people and now they've normalised in-work poverty they wanna force us out of our homes

Jas Athwal MP is a landlord with FIFTEEN properties. Complaints about toxic mould were ignored. One of his tenants was threatened with eviction by an estate agent for complaining. Athwal said he doesn't rent to people who receive benefits, which is unlawful. He must resign.

🚨Solidarity is powerful 🚨 At their office earlier Eaton Green were aggressive and said they planned to physically evict our members on Monday. This would have been illegal. A director has now promised in writing this won’t happen. Thanks everyone who kept up the pressure

We don’t need a repayment plan. We need rents to be suspended, rent debts to be cancelled and a permanent evictions ban. Millions of renters are facing mounting arrears. Most have no savings to fall back on. When will the Labour Party get on board? 🤔

✊🏾✊🏽 EVICTION SUCCESSFULLY RESISTED IN NEWHAM ✊🏼✊🏿 Today we were out in East Ham from 9am to support our member Najib who was threatened with illegal eviction. The private landlord tried to throw Najib and his wife out of their home without any due process 😡
