FaceTime now has SharePlay. All participants can use and edit a shared playlist in Apple Music. You can also watch things together. While on FaceTime, just start a Netflix video for example, and it’ll start for everyone on the call, in sync.

Your phone will now remain findable, even after it’s turned off. So if your phone is lost or if it’s stolen and they manage to turn off the power, you can still track it in Find My.

General FaceTime updates have been very welcome. You can “create link” so that anyone with internet can basically join in. Android users and PC users can join your calls.

You can now skip through your voice notes, instead of having to start over from the very beginning if something happens. Which seems… like it should have been there from day one. Just long press, and cick on the audio file.

There’s new card swiping for multiple images sent/received in iMessage so it doesn’t take up pages and pages of space. There’s also a singular save button to quickly save everything to the gallery.

Hide my email is amazing. When you sign up for a service, your email address will be scrambled and you’ll be signed up with a totally random email address, so the service you sign up for doesn’t get your info (and can’t sell any of it). Any emails will be forwarded to you.

Focus is an entire thread on its own, but one thing I think is pretty cool is that if you have Focus turned on (basically the new DND), it’ll tell people to leave you the fuck alone (unless it’s an emergency).

This is small but saved me just today in fact lol, if you’re on any type of call and you’ve muted yourself, if you try to talk again without unmuting your phone will play a noise to let you know you’re still muted.

I will say. I don’t fully trust ANY tech company with privacy and security. You’d be dumb to. But there’s a reason companies hate iOS 15. It has blocked SO much tracking and monitoring and selling of your info. If you’ve pissed off Zuck, you’re doing the right thing.

Safari is… different. The entire search bar has been moved down the bottom. This took a lot of adjustment, but I prefer it. Don’t have to reach everywhere now.
