The economic argument for a 3rd Runway falls apart on the government’s own figures. An expensive white elephant that will inevitably demand a public subsidy with the excessive costs falling on taxpayers shoulders. Just drop it & let’s move on.

Let’s all get real. Keir Starmer’s support even in his own cabinet has collapsed & he’d be humiliated in a leadership election.Streeting has even less support & is in a puerile self promotion exercise. The priority now is the construction of an effective radical policy programme

I have been campaigning with colleagues for a number of years to secure better treatment for sufferers of brain cancers & so I spoke in a debate on this on Monday. I’ve been inspired by members of our local community, who work so hard to raise funds for the Brain Cancer Charity.

The government has published its consultation document on the expansion of Heathrow Airport with a 3rd runway. The consultation ends on 1st September. I will be convening meetings for local residents over the next fortnight to discuss the issues involved and how we can respond.
