Another Balon d’Or farce. The notion that Messi was deserving in 2021 or in any way surprised… ridiculous. Jorginho won the Euros and Champions League. Lewandowski should have won it before now so yet another snub just underlines that mistake. Ronaldo called it…

Gareth Bale earns twice as much as Mesut Ozil. We seem to be much more sympathetic to Bale not wanting to play than Ozil who does.

The Myles Lewis-Skelly red card was a shocker. Even more baffling that Joao Gomes only got a yellow card - his second and therefore he was sent off - for a worse-looking challenge. Never mind consistency over the course of a season, Michael Oliver doesn’t show it in the same game

14 months into Mourinho's reign, United drew at Liverpool and then lost at Huddersfield. Criticism of Mourinho was brutal. 14 months into Solskjaer's reign, United lost at Liverpool and at home to Burnley. But it's not the manager's fault. Being a club legend earns you credit.
