- We are saddened to share that Sir Francis Graham-Smith FRS has passed away peacefully at the age of 102. A former Director of Jodrell Bank and Astronomer Royal (1982–1990), he was a giant of British astronomy whose career spanned the history of radio astronomy itself.
- We are saddened to share that our colleague Dr Cyril Hazard has passed away peacefully aged 97. A pioneer of radio astronomy in the early days of Jodrell Bank, he co-detected Andromeda’s radio emission & helped identify the first quasar.
