Imagine if maths was taught as an art. Students would be invited to play and explore patterns & learn mathematical relationships, with no tracking, sorting or testing. We would replace fear with curiosity, equity & a love of all mathematical ideas. #Limitless

It is through mistakes that knowledge will grow. Teachers do not need to be the all knowing expert. It is better to model being a curious inquirer. Someone who seeks to play with knowledge, learn with students & model being OK making mistakes & learning from them. #LimitlessMind

Remember everyone - if you are not getting pushback you are probably not being disruptive enough. The system is failing students and we need to disrupt the status quo. Some people are always going to find that hard. Pushback means you are making a difference!

Teachers - take risks and make mistakes in front of your kids, otherwise how do they know it is OK to do that? Be risky, creative, & kind!

Is anyone else frustrated by so called "equity sticks" ie cold calling students when their name is picked at random. I regard that as an anxiety inducing teaching practice - and there is nothing equitable about it. Why not call them cold calling sticks instead?
