The real problem is that zoning wouldn’t allow this to be considered a home. It wouldn’t meet local building or energy codes and it’s not hooked up to utilities. We need to solve housing, but people deserve quality structures, even if they are smaller

Wow, you’re right. They raised an early round and not much else. I presumed a traditional path of raising every few months. Early 90s founders were a different breed than todays startups

Homes are for housing people, and 78% of renters live in communities they couldn’t afford to buy. You would decrease neighborhood access while marginally increasing homeownership as Wall Street only owns 3% of SFH rentals

No one is buying a 5-7 cap rental with 8-11% interest payments Liquidity is high but rates are higher so investors are pencils down Most significant stabilizing factor is that 62% of all mortgages are <4% so people are not selling to upsize/downsize like they would

The video does look like a bad recruitment video, but many things are true. They are giving phones, money, transportation and housing. They are allowing people to stay after committing crimes. Millions of people have come across, but idk about 36 states
