There are still people on staff who don't know what's happening yet there's a tweet that someone higher up posted spilling the news. I'll have some stuff to say later today, but yes, everyone at Game Informer was laid off about an hour ago.

Zelda is making me introspective. 6 years ago, I was playing Breath of the Wild during my lunch break at a job I often cried driving to. It was a nightmare and the darkest point of my life. Today, I'm playing Tears of the Kingdom for a job that I would cry if I lost. Grateful!

I wanna offer a little clarification regarding “rights.” We operated on good faith and verbal agreements - there were plenty of times publishers promised something and backed out Game Informer didn’t charge anyone for cover stories nor did we ever make anyone sign anything
