    I am a final year registrar in Intensive Care Medicine. I contracted COVID in March 2020 and had proven antibodies in May 2020. Both myself and my wife (Dr @MonAnnieCakes) are triple vaccinated. The vaccines are safe and effective. Please #GetVaccinated

    So it looks like this is happening. It’s a delight to announce I have been offered a substantive consultant post at @NHSBartsHealth. I’ll be based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, contributing to their ECMO and cardiogenic shock programmes.

    Since 2015 we have trained 25,000 GPs across England Comparing today with back then, how many extra GPs do we have? Minus 2000 We have GP unemployment in the middle of a workforce crisis Not a paradox - deliberate breakage of general practice. #GPsAreOnYourSide @BMA_GP

    I just realised I should qualify this. The lady singing is my wife, @MonAnnieCakes. As you can hear, she is rather special. And quite accomplished- she’s performed in gospel concerts and led a choir. When she fell ill, 7 years ago, she stopped singing.

    Honest confession time: I wasn’t the greatest fan of the Junior Doctors Strike in 2016. I had many doubts. If my nursing colleagues decide on industrial action on the other hand, I will march through Hell with them. No questions asked.
