This is awful and it's used AO3's fics as part of its dataset. It steals from every single writer who created their work for free out of love and enjoyment of a fandom only to profit off of our hard work. James Yu, you should be ashamed.

except the person didn't go "I think ppl should read actual literature instead of fanfics." This person actively wrote 700 public "criticisms" on fanfics out of pure spite even for stories they know they won't like going in, but sure, keep defending cruelty towards hobbyists.🤷‍♀️

While I don't think AO3 will go down overnight, I've seen this song and dance occur on many occasions. Waking up to find half of the fan communities on LJ wiped from existence overnight instills a sense of paranoia that's hard to shake off. So, get ready to back up your stuff.

Guys, If I were you, I would download all of your fave fics in Ao3 right now. I've seen this film before with geocities and ff net... There were 30 years worth fics completely lost due censorship... Watch out. I know I will download my own and add them on my own blog soon...
