If the show was only about rue and her drug addiction and this unspoken “character development” everyone wants from her, the show would be BORING. Cal’s scenes made so much sense in regards to why Nate is how he is.
Everyone saying this looks like a “manic episode” or she’s “mentally ill” is apart of the problem. Having a mental illness DOES NOT lead to racism and it is not an excuse and EVERY single time a white person shows their true colors that is the excuse y’all come up with.
