I’m so proud of this team! Big day today as our first Windows beta invites go out. It's also a big day for the Swift on Windows! Arc on Windows is built in Swift, and shares a majority of its code with macOS. Our codebase is also now cross-platform, making future ports easier!

On 8/25 we were made aware of a vulnerability in Arc by @xyz3va. On 8/26 this vulnerability was fixed - thankfully no Arc members were affected. Firstly, I want to apologize for this vulnerability and our communications surrounding it. I’m not proud that this happened, but I do

When we decided to build Arc on Windows, Saleem Abdulrasool was one of our biggest inspirations. Pioneer of the space, @SwiftLang Core Team, & 11yr @llvmorg member, we wouldn't be here without his work... ...and today, we're so grateful to welcome @compnerd to @browsercompany!

We're opening up our thinking around Memory + Agents @browsercompany as we build infra for a "browser that browses for you"… and the biggest thing on my mind is RELIABILITY We wouldn’t trust tools that got emails/texts/etc wrong 1/10 times but that's where models are today-

Wow going back to Edge on Windows feels so archaic 😩 we're going to start Arc on Windows dogfooding (i.e. testing internally) in a few weeks and I'm so excited. Excited to use it and show you all what we've got in store!

Heard and you're totally right– we've already been working to move off firebase for new features for the last few months. Full incident rundown here: arc.net/blog/CVE-2024-… Any feedback on it would be very welcome! We want to make sure we set this right.

We’re joining Atlassian, and I’m deeply grateful. Mike and team truly understand what we’re building with Dia - our ambition, our values, and why we think it will change how people spend their days at work. We’ll take a breath today, then keep going- hire faster, ship faster,

The @browsercompany just signed a merger agreement to be acquired. We will remain independent. Our focus is Dia. I’ve written and rewritten this post more times than I’d like to admit, but what I keep coming back to is simple: the work continues, and we’re grateful for this
