Please stop starting your highlight films with 30 intros of you in headphones or cherry picking layups... you have about 10 seconds to catch our attention as coaches. Show us what separates you from other recruits!
Been saying this for the last 3 years or so! We do not teach our kids how to play basketball. Players want to do things for highlights instead of making winning plays. All that head tapping and trying to break your man off with 4-5 moves for a highlight gets you beat!
Turkey defeats USA in the third place game of the U19 World Cup. Led from start to finish and were clearly the better team. Bigger, smarter, more skilled, better organized. Big wakeup call for USA Basketball. Will have to recruit and prepare better. Talent gap has been erased.
Recruits: this is the time of the year where you might get offered one day and two days later that spot is filled by a recruit that commits. Don't sit on offers cause they will be gone faster than you think. Go where you are wanted!
