    At the risk of imprisonment, traveller Felipe Beleza made this simple protest outside the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Tibetans who protest against China's occupation face lengthy prison sentences. Even flying the Tibetan flag or keeping a picture of the Dalai Lama risks punishment.

    "Is Tibet a country?" This is the most Googled question about Tibet. A very simple question, but probably the most important. So, let us be very clear. Tibet is a country. China invaded Tibet in 1950 and has kept it under military occupation ever since.
