- this is not accurate - I had a 45k cash loan from Revolut, 3k a month from consulting, & was able to get to a big enough first close to be in business & draw a basic salary there are little blockers to starting a fund now with Angellist, negotiating & a lot of work. Just do it.Starting a venture firm isn't cheap. Assume you need at least $1M of your own cash to kick things off.
