This pissed me off. Watching this as a (now) adult makes me understand how something as small as having discomfort being ignored can create larger issues when you grow older (no sense of boundaries etc.)
So having a βghettoβ name is synonymous with being dark skin? Are we also going to dismiss the cultural significance of African names and how there are actual ceremonies behind them? I canβt tell if this is willful ignorance or just blatant stupidity
Pronunciation has no correlation to whether an ingredient is βsafeβ for your skin. This is fear mongering and pseudoscience. People canβt pronounce dihydrogen monoxide yet drink and rinse their face with it. People can pronounce poison ivy yet itβs bad. Use science, not fear!

This makes me so angry. The misconception that people that get acne are not βcleanβ and βdonβt wash their faceβ or βtake care of themselvesβ needs to die. There are a multitude of factors that affect acne vulgaris (ex: hormones) There is only so much topical cosmetics can do.
There was a video I saw about being careful when you take and send pictures with your iPhone bc if you send the original photo people will have your location analytics and to just send a screenshot of the photo instead. Itβs so sad we have to take so many preventative measures π
Whatβs causing the tightening effect are polysaccharide polymers and film forming ingredients (such as carrageenan in this formula). Essentially these ingredients will adhere to your skin and form a film which visibly and temporarily improves your skinβs appearance!
Skin care for darker skin tones is not a thing. In fact, Iβd go on to say this is harmful rhetoric bc it prevents darker skin using certain ingredients proven to work. You should be treating your skin based on your skin concerns, not necessarily your skin color.
