so those who cannot read properly have to guess the meaning of the word from the initials? I would call that redundant, overdesigned, silly. For the rare cases where that might work, I can design a few letters myself

This is one of the worst pieces of typography I’ve seen in a long time. Bad spacing (that MM is one big spot, parfums is a blob), word spaces too big. Helvetica caps are the most boring choice ever. Sucks.
The assholes at #Facebook are naming themselves Meta, 42 (the answer is 42!) years after I named our design company #MetaDesign in 1979. Guess it’s not worth fighting over it. Happy to know that gilding a turd won’t change its substance.
