    This sucks but it's also hilarious because it shows the incoherence of a global nationalism and gets us right back to sending money abroad. INDIVIDUALS OF THE WORLD, UNITE! Activist foreign policy is good and inevitable and opposing it is for losers. Inflecting it is for winners.

    Says a lot that it requires listening to Putin and Medvedev to get a modicum of the truth on this. It’s unimaginable for a British prime minister to concede something so important - and potentially critical to the living standards of 68 million Brits.
