i think this girls trip i went on just ended my friendship with everyone omg i can’t stand any of them. this really opened my eyes. definitely going to keep my distance and hold them at an arms length.

i actually don’t think it’s normal at all the way desi parents raise their children. i know we crack jokes here and there to cope but it’s not okay how they can’t fathom us having a job of our choice, choosing our appearance, spouse, lifestyle, etc.

i honestly hate tweets like this. we’re so privileged compared to our predecessors that we are able to imagine a romanticized version of staying at home but that includes being your husband’s property, not having a voice, no representation, no human rights. it’s not greed
