This is the story of Hyperliquid, the most profitable startup per employee on earth, told from a guarded office in Singapore. Last year, its team of 11 generated $900 million in profit. It's 3 years old, has never taken a dollar of venture capital, and is beginning to change how

Ferrari is best thought of as an exclusive club. The cost of entry just happens to be a car. But money alone is not enough to buy a Ferrari. Last year, they sold 13,221 cars. Most of those went to existing Ferrari owners. 8,725 to be precise. And 5,000 of those went to owners

This is one of my favorite Peterffy stories that didn't make it into the profile. In 1982, Peterffy was out to dinner on the Upper East Side with a friend. When they walked into the restaurant, three men at a table near the entrance spotted his friend and invited them over.

Matt Huang is a rare investor. In his early twenties, on a week-long vacation to China, he met with Zhang Yiming. Yiming was building a personalized news app out of a dusty apartment in Beijing. Huang didn’t like the idea, and couldn’t understand a word Yiming said, but he could

The @IPL is a beast. It’s the 2nd largest sports league in the world, behind the NFL. But it’s the fastest-growing and only 16 years old, so who knows how long it’ll be 2nd for. It was an absolute pleasure to break it down with professional cricketer & investor, @eddiecowan.

I have a confession. @nolayingup is one of my favourite media businesses. From humble roots, it has become an influential force in golf. NLU is the sports’ leading podcast and they’ve developed a brilliant business around it. I sat down with @ngschuNLU for a tour of the biz.

Flightradar24 is a gem of a business. It started as a side project to help with SEO for a price comparison website. Today, it's the leading flight-tracking business in the world. For ~250,000 flights a day, @flightradar24 will show you where the plane came from, where it's

Few people have had as big an impact on finance as Thomas Peterffy, founder of Interactive Brokers. His story is mindblowing, no exaggeration. He grew up in the grip of communism and has spent the rest of his life promoting capitalism by making markets more efficient and cheaper

Thomas Peterffy is the 23rd richest person in the world, a chief architect of modern finance, and has one of the most remarkable stories in business. Yet he remains virtually unknown. Born in a Budapest basement during a Soviet bombing raid in September 1944, his father left

This time last week, Poor Charlie's Almanack cost ~£100. Today, you can read it for free online and/or you can order a beautiful hardback version (which fits in your rucksack) for £20. All thanks to @stripepress and @tamarawinter. Great for us but what's in it for them? Why

Gem after gem. 1/ Mediocrity is invisible until passion shows up and exposes it. 2/ Time is the best filter. It is the only filter I trust. 3/ Victory is spelled survival. 4/ The hard way is the right way. 5/ What you want is money, but what you really want is meaning.

An incredible @FoundersPodcast episode on Thomas Peterffy. He read everything about Peterffy and put together an episode. I loved this quote: "On Wall Street, I feel like Alice in Wonderland. Nothing makes sense. Everything is messed up and different from the way I think it
