- Excellent points @soniasodha, and it should be noted that rules for broadcast news also have to pass the test in the Ofcom Broadcast Code of ‘due’ editorial consideration. What this ‘due consideration’ means in practice isn’t always clear. Is it something that broadcasters canA few things about last few days have made me deeply uncomfortable. 1. The no of ppl in positions of responsibility who aren't following Samaritans guidelines, which exist to prevent further suicide. Some have unwittingly been elevating suicide as a way to shape the narrative.
