when i was younger, i gave ppl advice frequently. now i’m more experienced, and i give less advice. i realized i can be very convincing even when i’m wrong (or just don’t know). now i give my opinion, but i encourage ppl to come to their own conclusions. i think this is better🙏🏼

i've invested for ~20 yrs, met 1000's of founders, seen 1000's of decks, done 100's of deals -- yet it's still humbling how often i'm wrong or uncertain about what's going to happen. like Yogi Berra sez: "It's tough to make predictions... especially about the future". #sigh🤷

ok so now that Facebook, Stripe, Twitter, Lyft, etc are all making cutbacks this week -- expect every other private company that hasn't announced layoffs to do so in next 30d / before the holidays. #TheCurrentThing... is laying off at least 10-30% of your workforce.
