Outrageous: FCC CEO Justine Hendricks racked up $422,700 in company credit card expenses in her first 3 years as CEO. Meanwhile, FCC's margin requirement jumped from 1.76% to 3.03% - passing higher costs directly onto the farmers who rely on FCC.

An eventful start to the Calgary Stampede this weekend! Meeting stakeholders from across Canada reinforced that rural communities share many of the same challenges. These conversations will help shape policies to create jobs and add value to our resources.

Today I questioned the Ag Minister about ALTO & concerns raised by farmers & farm organizations. Instead of accepting responsibility, Opposition questions were interrupted to shut down debate. Concerned about ALTO and productive farmland? Let Ministers MacDonald & MacKinnon know

The Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers received the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Sustainability! This success could not happen without the growers themselves! CKL multi-generational farming families and agricultural entrepreneurs are bar none!

This weekend I was in Monterey, California for the World Processing Tomato Congress! 🍅 As someone who spent decades in the industry, it was great to advocate for the processing tomato sector, a key part of CKL’s economy, and to ketchup with longtime friends and colleagues!

I spoke with the US Ambassador to Canada and Parliamentary Secretary to the PM about the serious challenges facing the mold making industry in #CKL last week. It is vital that residents of our region have a voice in Ottawa that can have these conservations face to face.

Canada is the only G20 country in a recession after a decade of Liberal policies. Investment is leaving & Canada's agri-food sector is losing ground. Yet the govt continue to ignore the broader trend. Check out the CFIB graphic in this video. It tells the real story.

Toured the Halifax Grain Elevator last week! This facility is the last ocean elevator in Atlantic Canada and a key gateway for Canadian exports like soybeans and wood pellets. With 140k tonnes of storage and the deepest berths on the East Coast, it’s a vital asset for exports!

A technical recession is still a recession when Canadians feel it in their paycheques, grocery bills, and household budgets. Instead of debating definitions, it's time for the Liberals to recognize the economic reality facing Canadians and present a plan to reverse it.
