Two things about being WHCOS: You’re not supposed to subvert elections. You are supposed to get yelled at. @RonaldKlain @WHCOS @BeschlossDC @johnpodesta
Political quiz for you—Who gave the testimony quoted below? 1. Mark Meadows 2. Beaver Cleaver 3. Dennis the Menace

Congratulations to Ron Klain on becoming the longest-serving first chief for a Democratic president—at one year, 255 days. I’m sure it feels like 255 years! @kennerly @NormEisen @JenniferBrokaw @Mack_McLarty @peterbakernyt @RahmEmanuel

I long ago declared Mark Meadows the worst WH chief in history. Now, stripped of executive privilege, he faces a choice: Lie for Trump and clinch that title (along with prison time) or tell the truth. ⁦@ScribnerBooks⁩ ⁦@Lawrence⁩ ⁦

Don’t miss Lawrence O’Donnell’s exit interview with WHCOS Ron Klain tonight on ‘The Last Word.’ O’Donnell really gets just how historic and unique the Biden-Klain relationship was. And how consequential. @ScribnerBooks @Lawrence @kennerly @WHCOS @jdickerson

Meadows owns the title of worst WH chief of staff in history by a country mile and richly deserves to follow Nixon’s H.R. Haldeman to prison. @ScribnerBooks @jdickerson @JohnDean_ @johngansjr @LesleyRStahl @Lawrence @NicolleDWallace @KatyTurNBC
Meadows: will be so hard for him to lie with impunity in the grand jury. Totally right move to subpoena him to ratchet up pressure on him to come clean. If he lies, will face perjury and obstruction charges (and more).

The phrase “preliminarily work” tells all. This is light years away from a concession.
Among other things, this has a whipsaw effect on a large staff of government employees

No competent WH chief would leave Trump alone with his FBI Director.
Greg Craig, served as WH counsel to Obama and Clinton, says it is highly unusual for president to ask to be alone with the director of FBI

Jen Psaki just told Rachel Maddow that President Biden will pay a visit to the State Dept. Excellent! How about adding a stop at the CIA? That would go a long way toward healing Trump’s disastrous, tone-deaf visit to the Memorial Wall on his first day in office.

Joe Biden praised Ron Klain today not only for his extraordinary abilities as WH chief but for his “big heart.” Biden’s right. Klain disproves Richard Nixon’s theory that a great chief of staff has to be a “son of a bitch.”
