- The earlier seasons of The Sopranos were also more vivid, colourful, even nostalgic which then became more bleaker & darker in later seasons. But it actually works with the overall arc of the show.Rewatching GOT and the difference in lighting and color between the 3 show's is night and day. Look at how vivid and shiny season 1 was, without undermining the show's serious tone.
