I don't think a lot of fans fully appreciate what the Yankees did to get to this point. They moved a massive amount of young pitching from their system over the last few years to boost the roster. The vast majority of MLB teams would be unable to survive that kind of exodus.

I have thoughts. . . Put aside the starter conversion for a moment. Locking up this kind of arm talent for 4 years at a highly reasonable AAV is a win in my book. This is a "playoff arm", plain and simple.

RHP Miguel Sime Jr '25 @PolyBlueDevils NY @LSUbaseball commit FB: 95-98 t99 x3 SL: 81-84 CH: 84-86 Whiffs + Ks from Sime against a talented Stony Brook lineup on a wet Sunday. Used all 3 pitches to miss bats. Was still up to 98 MPH in the 8th inn. Special talent w/ huge upside.

Stop letting the @Reds get all of the good shortstops!!! Sammy Stafura is a great athlete, very physical. Surprising juice in the bat. Instinctive runner and defender. I'm surprised he wasn't taken in the late 1st.

RHP Jack Ohman '27 @YaleBaseball FB: 93-96 SL: 86 CU: 79 CH: 87-88 Whiffs/called strikes from Ohman's 2 inn. start at Bryant yesterday. Fastball was the main swing/miss offering, but Ohman showed he can execute with his entire arsenal. One of the top college arms in the country

Drew Thorpe Easy, repeatable delivery w/ high arm slot/release. Premium command of 4 pitch mix. Sinker @ 91-94 generates weak contact/plays up w/command. Low 80s SL consistently above avg. Nasty cutter flashed +. Changeup is 60/70 pitch. High floor arm w/ top of rotation upside.
