I'm starting a new role at @elastic today, joining the Elasticsearch team to work on the Java client: API modeling, code generation, network layer and managing community feedback and contributions. Open source code as my day job again! I will also contribute to the Rust client 😋
🎉 The new Elasticsearch Java Client I've been working on for the last 6 months is now public. Still experimental but already usable! The API code is generated from a formal spec of the API, which is no small feat considering its size and complexity! 🥳
Today I've been promoted to tech lead of the SDK/clients team at @elastic, focusing on statically typed languages and our code generation tooling 🎉
