Kazu's pet bat(?) is technically the 1st Devil's Candy character created. It was an out-of-place mascot character from a story that predated Devil's Candy. By the way, unlike Nemo's bat, the one in the flashback is flesh and blood. Hmmm... #DevilsCandyFacts

Clarence was originally just a background character we called "Overbite Dracula." I liked him so much that I kept pushing to put him in the story and he eventually became a main character. He was my favorite for years. (now I love ~everyone~) #DevilsCandyFacts
