It's weird that America has become the place where it's practically impossible to build new things if they are controversial. We want to aggressively regulate AI, take AV cars off the road, kill crypto, outlaw nuclear plants, etc. America is being run by Debbie Downers.

I met David Sacks at a Solana event in 2021 where he took interest in Hivemapper and ultimately invested in our Series A. He has been talking about Hivemapper and Helium for years. This idea that he has not been a player in crypto and AI is simply not historically accurate.

as some of you have seen, the SEC has decided to sue us and @helium literally as they are walking out of the door. the last gasp of a failed crusade against crypto companies in the US naturally, none of the claims hold any water at all. the SEC has wasted two years of our time

Hivemapper decided to build on the Solana blockchain. When we made that decision, some investors told us (in the kindest way possible) that it was foolish and we need to have a backup plan. What Solana is building is special.

I know a bunch of people are shitting on Solana. I have seen this core team execute when many thought they were dead and the entire world was against them. It is never a good bet to bet against Solana. And Hivemapper is not going to switch, so stop asking.
