Loving the guy on the left. Astutely wearing a balaclava to make totally sure that no-one could possibly find any way of identifying him

We didn’t win two world wars to become a nasty, arrogant, bigoted, isolationist country that forgot the lessons of history as well as the cost of winning and sustaining peace

We know almost nothing about her, her political views, or what she’s done to get there. But now she’s in the House of Lords, she can make laws for the rest of us for life. Thank heaven Boris Johnson took us out of the unaccountable EU!

Silliest word of 2020 is “woke”. Orwell would have skewered it as a meaningless sneer designed to stand in the way of thought or discussion. It’s particularly sad to see it adopted by people who are usually careful about language. A very 2020 word.

People died for a fair & representative parliament. That’s why Boris’s chum, 'Baroness' Owen (a blank sheet of paper – said/done nothing of note, & is uncontactable) is a scandal @CatNeilan My column
If you’re not upset by Charlotte Owen, you should be

Givern the hyperventilating coverage of Philip Schofield and Huw Edwards it seems unusual that there is barely a squeak of interest from from media outlets about #DanWoottonExposed

The prime minister, verbatim, trying to answer a question from Keir Starmer this week. Quoted by Matthew Parris in the Times this morning.

Those who wanted Brexit have had 899 days to show how it could happen. Now they can't, a small show of humility would be welcome. And maybe a willingness to consider returning to the relative unity we had as a country before 23/6/2016
