I'm generally a staunch defender of the economics profession but the fact that an 80 year old reality show star and his ragtag crew of like 5 alabama university undergrads are running circles around 10 thousand PhDs for a year now does raise some questions one cannot ignore

it's insane that normie appeal is basically an unsolvable problem Peter Thiel is a 6 sigma intellect with the capacity to forecast complex systems 5 years out but he just gets instantly oneshotted the second he's put in front of a camera and tries to cultivate popular sympathy
