Bangalore is not just Whitefield and ORR. Everyone wants to crowd up into a 15km stretch of road, and then take a dump on the entire city in general.
Meanwhile, in the old, "real" parts of Bangalore, folks carry on with their daily lives.
The future is here.. in India! Charged up the EV6 at @ZoneCharge 's 360kW location on the Bangalore-Chennai highway.
The EV6 pulled a solid 230kW, peaked at 234kW, from 22% to ~70%.
Added 52 kWh in 19min.
Icing on the cake? A Delhivery branded Volvo electric pulled in to charge!
Please show these photos to people who keep parroting the "EVs powered by dirty coal, hence not clean" narrative.
5 x Revolt 400; 2 x IQube; 2 x Ampere Magnus; 1 x EV6; 1xKona; 1xExponent cargo vehicle, all charged at the same time from rooftop solar in my office in Bangalore.
Did my first proper long drive in the EV6. Almost 600km, out of which 400km was a total high speed blast. This car is a straight line missile and one can get carried away in no time.
Full trip log with charge stats coming!
Did a Bangalore-Mudigere-Bangalore drive yesterday in the EV6. Total distance of 520km on a single charge.
Speed ~100kph with AC+lane centering assist. Small stretch of 50km at 120kph reduced the efficiency, else would have got 575 easily. If hypermiling, 600km is doable.
Couple of weeks back, did a ~1800 km drive in our Kona. Was a seamless drive experience thanks to the good network of DC fast chargers across the main highways in S.India now. Attached is the route map&the drive stats, followed by some brief trip notes in this thread as below.
EV car drivers: Please DO NOT use the emergency stop button in public DC chargers to stop your charge session. This puts the charger offline in the app and other customers think the charger is offline.
Use the app or the charger screen to stop.
This is basic common sense 🤦🏽♂️
Usually charge my Kona at work from solar, this time I couldn't.
Parked up behind my EV6 last night, plugged in the V2G adaptor, and the EV6 happily supplied 3.6kW to my Kona.
By morning, my Kona was at 80% from 4% and the EV6 down to 34% from 74%.
This is such a trick feature!
Did a BLR-Chennai-Pondicherry-BLR road trip over the weekend in the Kona. Total distance of 911km,done with ease. Detailed trip-log attached.
Charging cost of the trip in my Kona: Rs. 845.
Fuel cost had I taken my Ford Endeavour : Rs. 8,290.
That's a saving of ~Rs. 7500!
