    7 years ago i was at a low point in my life decided "fuck it" and moved to sf although i'd never been here, had no money, and knew only one person now i'm the happiest i've ever been finally got my green card today. don't believe the haters, the american dream is real 🇺🇸

    Tiktok is the most meritocratic media network. Talked to a PM at Tiktok who said every video gets 100 views. The early engagement on those determines how quickly it accelerates to the next threshold. So every video starts off on an equal footing, and has a chance to go viral.

    A CEO friend told me today he interviewed 80 people to get one great hire, and had a really strict framework. How come when it comes to choosing their life partner, most people don’t apply as much rigor? Seems like mostly serendipity at play.
