I also wrote a book about the glorious madness of global Christianity- its beauty and brokenness and the places that make it interesting.

Am occasionally reminded that there are people on Google who accidentally leave reviews for Whites (a nightclub in East London) on the page of White’s (the gentlemen’s club on Pall Mall).

Jayne gave a wonderful talk last night and an incredible sermon this morning. Her presence with us was both edifying and a joy.

At this point, I’ve lost count of how many churches I’ve been invited to speak with. Every congregation has been warm and welcoming, but St Mary’s Charlbury wins because they served Aperol Spritz, plus cheese and nibbles. Grateful for the invitation to serve God’s people.

If this was happening in any other context and being done by any other institution, the Church would take great delight in calling this out for exactly what it is, which is theft.

A wrote a little about Edward Norman in light of his death but since then have been re-engaging with his stuff. The first of these Reith lectures (from 50 years ago!) on the politicisation of Christ is *so* on the money it could have been given today.
