    On this date in 2017...”Waconia became just the ninth baseball team in League history to finish a season undefeated following its 6-1 victory over Hibbing in the Class AAA championship.” -MSHSL. Happy 2-year Anniversary to the 2017 State Champion Wildcats!

    On the last day of 2019, I finished my last baseball clinic in Waconia. I resigned my position as a WHS baseball coach, due to a later school day at my school in Edina. Thank You to all (esp. Grundy) who helped make my 14 seasons such a positive experience! -Coach Bender

    Wildcats win the home opener at beautiful Lions’s Field 7-3 over Buffalo. Great team win with solid pitching and defense a a couple timely hits. Fun to be at the ballpark again. Thanks to all @WaconiaBaseball who worked to get the field ready. #TrustTheProcess

    Cats sweep Marshall! 15-5 in 5 and 11-1 in 6. Ethan Swanson and Carson Karnes earn the W’s. Too many O highs to list all. 22 hits in less than 11 full innings! For both games: Kalenberg, Koppi, and Martin with 4 hits, Frisinger 3. Hope for warmer weather! 🥶
