We are saddened to hear of the passing of Major Nancy Leftenant-Colon, the first Black woman to join the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and later as a flight nurse in the Air Force. She died on January 8, 2025 in Amityville, NY at the age of 104. #WeRememberThem #BlackVetsCount
