We know the closures to the Menai Bridge can be frustrating, especially during busy times.
From this evening, traffic lights will be in place, with checks, following a series of breaches. Only vehicles under 7.5t can use it.
Please follow instructions and respect staff.
Our social media accounts must operate differently as we approach the Senedd Election on Thursday 7 May.
Election rules mean there are limits on what we can post and respond to from our social media channels in the period before the election.
In March Menai Suspension Bridge’s AeroTruss was installed – specialised scaffolding that lets engineers work around the bridge deck🌉👷
The structure is so large it had to be transported by barge before being lifted into place.
Watch how they achieved it⤵️
@TrafficWalesN
Only vehicles under 7.5T should use the Menai Suspension Bridge.
If this limit is breached, the bridge will be closed for inspection to check for damage.
Please respect the weight and height limits in place.

We’ve spent over £25 million extra fixing and preventing them on main roads.
We’ve also helped local councils access a further £120 million to fix local roads too.
This has led to 414 miles of road being resurfaced, and over 200,000 potholes fixed/prevented across Wales.
