Showers and storms become widespread this afternoon and evening. A very moist air mass and slow storm motions will allow for heavy rain rates and potential flash flooding. Localized totals in excess of 3-4" are possible in areas that see repeated training of storms.

While the heat wave begins to wind down over the next few days, hot and humid conditions are again expected today. Peak heat indices are forecasted to be around 105 degrees and Heat Advisories are in effect for most of the area. 🥵
