Animal rescue! The VCFD handcrew helped save this injured Great Horned Owl from the #mariafire. The owl was taken to Camarillo Wildlife Rehabilitation and is already on the mend. Check back to see our video with an update. @VCFD @CAL_FIRE

#HighSurf - Watch when a rogue wave hits the beach at the end of Seward Ave in the City of Ventura. This occurred during the high surf advisory at high tide. Because of this wave eight people were transported to local hospitals. Currently the beaches are closed in Ventura County

#autoincident; #VCFD along with Ventura City Fire and Oxnard Fire Are on scene of a brush fire in the river bottom off North Ventura Blvd in Ventura. The fire is currently at 5 acres in medium fuels with a moderate rate of spread. Approximately 75 firefighters are on scene

#kennethfire; Forward progress of the Kenneth fire has been stopped, and the fire is currently holding at 960 acres with 0% containment. Approximately 400 Firefighters will remain on scene through the night, continuing to provide structure protection and knock down hot spots.

#MountainFire UPDATE: The fire has crossed Highway 118 and is now impacting the Camarillo Heights area. Evacuation orders are in effect, and we urge residents to follow these orders for their safety. Several individuals have been injured and transported to local hospitals.
