Fun fact: We stock many of Utah's high-mountain lakes from the air. The fish are tiny — anywhere from 1–3 inches long — which allows more than 95% of them to survive the fall. #Utah #TroutTuesday

We're excited to see #wildlife using the new Parleys Summit overpass! The overpass and roadside fencing are providing safer migration routes and reducing collisions. Thanks to everyone, including @UtahDOT, who made this wildlife-crossing structure possible.

Not my seagulls, not my flooded pit where there used to be a Sears store.

When 2020 drops you on your face, make like this elk during the rut & get back up. This big guy was so focused on chasing a cow elk, he didn’t notice Biologist Brian Maxfield in his truck nearby, or the fence. The bull continued chasing the cow, acting like nothing happened. 😀

    You rang...?
The one and only Chessy from the 1998 Parent Trap movie, making a very unimpressed face. Possibly because her boss's new fiancé just rang a bell to summon her to make them martinis.

SOUND ON! You don't want to miss the gutsy growl of this young #bobcat. Our conservation officers relocated the animal after he was caught eating chickens in Kanarraville. #Utah

Moose are fun to watch — from a distance. Thank you to Colleen Burns for sharing this footage she captured at a lake in the Wasatch Mountains yesterday! #Utah

If the bird app goes down, just remember we have birds IRL too.

We recently released this family of beavers — 2 adults, 2 juveniles and 2 kits — in northern #Utah. They should be hard at work, restoring a stream to its natural state, making it better for the #trout that live there!

#TBT to when we captured and collared a wolverine for the first time in Utah! It happened a year ago this week, so we wanted to share some cool things we learned. In a span of just over three weeks, this small-but-fierce traveler:
A wolverine in a circular enclosure. It's sitting and looking at the side of the enclosure.

Moose will usually give birth to one calf, but it is not uncommon for twins to be born if food is plentiful. Enjoy this footage of a #Utah #moose and her twin calves in honor of #NationalSiblingsDay!

Joel Long of Salt Lake had perfect timing when he captured this photo of a coyote leaping up to try and steal a bald eagle's prey (a small duck) at #FarmingtonBay. Incredible photo, Joel! 👏👏👏
