Had the opportunity today to thank @CBP agents & officers who are providing mutual aid to one another in the D.C. area. It’s a mix of local, state & federal forces working together to facilitate security efforts. Awfully proud of the law enforcement efforts to keep everyone safe.

Criminal aliens are a threat to our communities & our country. #USBP agents from Miami sector encountered a subject convicted of murder in #Colombia; he was fleeing to avoid his sentence. Partnerships are key to providing safety & #security to the citizens we serve.

Convicted murderer arrested by #USBP Miami Sector Agents and @ICEgov partners near Jupiter, #Florida. The subject was convicted in absentia in his home country of #Colombia where he will serve an 18 year prison sentence. DHS partners work together to protect our community.

Agents at the I-19 #immigrationcheckpoint discovered more than 32 pounds of #methamphetamine, which has an estimated street value of $88,000, hidden inside the wheel wells of a truck. Thanks to the agent’s vigilance, this dangerous drug will not reach our communities.
