I am angry. In Busuma, 54,000+ refugees, mostly women and children, are surviving with too little food, water & shelter. They are not able to meet their basic needs. The capacity to fix this exists. What’s missing is the will. That is unacceptable, and it is on all of us.

UNHCR Director of External Relations, Ms. Hyde, met the Government of 🇧🇮, partners & donors, and visited Busuma site hosting Congolese refugees and Cibitoke, where Burundian returnees live. She witnessed urgent humanitarian needs and called for sustained support.
