I started at SpaceX just after flight 2. I remember telling my boss “I feel like I’ve missed everything”. I missed star hopper, flight 1, the belly flops, and most of the tent builds. I’ve come to realize that we’re still just at the beginning. Still.

I went and said good bye to the launch mount last night. Gave a pat-pat, a “thank you”, and a “well done” to the six legs. My daughter said “it’s like if your school was demolished. All the memories…” Thank you Pad 1, you magnificent beast!
